Sikhs in the Square
Immediately after the launch, the first event of interfaith week took place in the town square. The Sikh community didn’t let pouring rain stop them entertaining the Saturday shopping crowds. Free food, fruit and drinks were provided and there were displays by Sikh organisations and appearances from local faith and community leaders. Events were broadcast by the Sikh channel, Punjab Radio and Asian Star Radio.

Via Dolorosa – Stations of the Cross interpreted by artists of different faiths
This is a multi-media presentation of the Stations of the Cross interpreted by artists of eight different faiths.
Saint Mary’s, Church Street, Slough. Tuesday 17th November. Come at any time between 2pm and 5pm
Early Christians would sometimes visit Jerusalem as pilgrims, to walk in the footsteps of Jesus and reflect upon his passion and death. They would stop along the path to contemplate what happened there, marking the stages of the journey for others to follow. The path that Jesus walked became known as Via Dolorosa – the way of pain. Over time, ‘stations’ were often installed in churches so that people could follow this journey as part of their devotions.
